Jenna Ashlyn

Performance Bio

Jenna Ashlyn (she/her) is a multi-hyphenate artist—actor, singer, dancer, improviser, and writer—from Ottawa, Ontario. With over 16 years of performance experience, her work is rooted in physical storytelling, emotional truth, and a deep belief in theatre as a space for connection, reflection, and transformation. Jenna is driven by a desire to create work that lingers with audiences—inviting them not only to feel deeply, but to think critically about the world around them.

When the performing arts industry went dark during the pandemic, Jenna responded by creating light: at just 16 years old, she founded a non-profit organization dedicated to giving artists a place to perform in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment while raising money and awareness for over 25 charities.

As a writer, she has written multiple original plays, including two that premiered virtually during the pandemic—works that speak to her adaptability, resilience, and unwavering commitment to storytelling. Through her interdisciplinary practice, Jenna Ashlyn continues to craft work that is honest, human, and alive with intention.
